These open lesions are remarkably difficult to heal, frequently causing immense physical pain, long-term mobility impairment, and deep psychological distress for affected individuals. To address this profound clinical challenge, the foundation operates the specialized Leg Ulcer & Wound Management Programme, setting a 2026 target to provide advanced care for 2,000 patients.
The programme provides comprehensive wound care solutions, which encompass regular clinical supervision, tailored medical treatments, and a steady supply of specialized dressings and clinical consumables. Through meticulous medical intervention, the clinical team accelerates healing timelines, manages chronic pain, and protects patients from severe secondary infections that could trigger systemic crises. Because specialized wound management requires expensive materials and long-term care over several months, many patients are left untreated without intervention.
Donors have the opportunity to directly restore a patient's physical mobility and personal dignity. We suggest a donation of ₦91,000 ($65) to fully cover advanced wound care and clinical management for one patient for an entire month.
