Provides free medical care, diagnostics, and routine medications to 10,000 patients across ten states.
The Monthly Free Clinic Programme serves as a foundational pillar of clinical care, providing free medical supervision to individuals living with Sickle Cell Disorder (SCD) across Nigeria. Active across ten states: Kano, Lagos, Delta, Oyo, Anambra, Abuja, Kaduna, Benue, Osun, and Ogun. This initiative aims to reach 10,000 patients through its first 2026 cohort running from May 2026 to May 2027.
Attending patients receive comprehensive services including doctor consultations, case management, genetic counselling, and free routine medications. The clinics also perform vital diagnostic laboratory screenings, such as complete blood counts (CBC), malaria rapid diagnostic tests, anaemia screening, and viral marker evaluations. These regular clinical touchpoints are essential for tracking patient health, managing complications like leg ulcers, and providing early stroke risk assessments.
By offering consistent medical intervention, these clinics significantly reduce the frequency of painful crisis episodes and emergency hospital admissions for indigent families. To help sustain this essential healthcare network and maintain operations across all designated regions, the foundation relies heavily on philanthropic backing. We suggest a donation of N1,200,000,000 (N10,000,000 per state, per month x 12 states x 12 months).
