Tony Epelle is a distinguished economist, management consultant, and strategic leader who serves on the Board of Directors of the Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria (SCFN). With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Epelle brings a unique blend of financial acumen and institutional governance to the Foundation’s mission of alleviating the burden of sickle cell disorder in Nigeria.

As the Founder and Managing Consultant of Samuelson Advisory Partners Limited, Mr. Epelle has spent over 35 years advising public and private sector organizations on corporate strategy and operational efficiency. At SCFN, he applies this expertise to strengthen the Foundation’s organizational framework, recently facilitating high-level strategic retreats aimed at re-positioning the Foundation for greater impact and long-term sustainability.

An alumnus of the University of Ibadan (B.Sc. Economics, 1981), St. Gregory’s College, and King’s College, Lagos, Mr. Epelle is a vocal advocate for medical innovation. He is particularly committed to the success of the Foundation’s Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Centre, championing the drive to make permanent cures accessible to all Nigerians.

Beyond his healthcare advocacy, Mr. Epelle’s dedication to social inclusion is reflected in his roles as a Board Member for TAF Africa and a Governor of Royal Court Private School. His leadership is defined by a commitment to transparency, humanitarian service, and the belief that robust corporate governance is the foundation of effective healthcare delivery.

Through his work with the SCFN, Mr. Epelle continues to be a driving force in ensuring that the Foundation remains a center of excellence, providing specialized care and hope to the sickle cell community.
