Diagnosed with sickle cell disorder at just five months old, Mrs. Olopade-Popoola’s life is a testament to the possibility of thriving despite the challenges of the condition.
A cornerstone of the sickle cell community in Nigeria, she currently serves as the President of the Sickle Cell Club Lagos, having previously contributed years of service as its Honorary Secretary. Her leadership extends to the grassroots level as the Coordinator of the Ifako-Ijaiye Sickle Cell Area Club, where she facilitates support networks for warriors and their families. As a respected Board Member of the Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria (SCFN), she plays a vital role in shaping the foundation’s strategic initiatives and national outreach.
Beyond her administrative roles, Mrs. Olopade-Popoola is the CEO of Modadeola Group. A trained Professional Caterer and Event Planner, she is also an active member of the Illinois Cake and Sugar Art Association. She leverages this professional expertise as a lecturer and mentor, specifically teaching fellow warriors how to become entrepreneurs. Her mission is clear: to equip individuals with the vocational skills necessary to achieve financial independence and manage their health needs with dignity.
