Sitting at the absolute apex of the foundation's intervention pyramid is the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Programme, representing the ultimate curative solution for Sickle Cell Disorder. While routine clinical management and prevention campaigns are vital for controlling the disease, bone marrow transplantation stands alone as the only widely recognised, permanent cure for SCD.
However, the advanced medical infrastructure and clinical expertise required for this transplant make the cost entirely prohibitive for the vast majority of Nigerian families, trapping children in a lifetime of pain. To break this financial barrier, the foundation operates a dedicated Bone Marrow Transplant Subsidy Fund, ensuring that ten (10) eligible patients can access this life-changing curative treatment at its state-of-the-art BMT Centre.
For 2026, the foundation has established a major Annual Subsidy Fund Target of ₦1,000,000,000 ($715,000) to sponsor procedures and offer matching grants for 10 low-income families. Investing in this program allows corporate and individual partners to permanently alter a patient's life trajectory, entirely eliminating a lifetime of medical crises.
