PANEL DISCUSSION: The panel discussion is designed to address the multi-factorial aspects of sickle cell disorder, create awareness and educate the entire community.

Rationale:

A number of myths and misconceptions exist regarding SCD, one of it is that persons living with the disorder do not live long. Our World Sickle Cell Day Lecture, intend to correct this notion by bringing EXPERTS, CAREGIVER, and an AFFECTED PERSON to discuss on the theme: “SICKLE CELL DISORDER IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE” – a very pertinent theme for a country like Nigeria with the highest burden of sickle cell in the world.

Under the distinguished Chairmanship of Olorogun Chief Dr. Sonny Kuku OFR, Speakers at the event will be as follows:
