September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month – as we are already aware, Nigeria has the highest burden of sickle cell disorder worldwide.
One hundred fifty thousand babies are born yearly with sickle cell in Nigeria, and over 100,000 do not live to celebrate their 5th birthday.
Join @sicklecellfoundationng and @firstladykwara in raising awareness about sickle cell disorder to alleviate the burden of the disease in Nigeria and beyond.
