Adopt & Rehabilitate Sickle Cell Clinics

Upgrading 30 Sickle Cell Clinics annually.

Adopt & Rehabilitate Sickle Cell Clinics

This Project aims to strengthen sickle cell care across Nigeria by rehabilitating and equipping 30 sickle cell clinics with essential infrastructure, medical equipment, and basic resources required to deliver quality, accessible, and comprehensive care to people living with Sickle Cell Disorder. Access to timely and appropriate care remains a significant challenge for many people living with SCD, particularly those in underserved communities where healthcare facilities may lack the equipment, resources, and capacity needed to effectively manage the condition and its complications.

Over the course of five (5) years, this initiative will support the rehabilitation and upgrading of six sickle cell clinics annually across different regions of the country. The project will provide essential equipment and resources that enable healthcare facilities to improve the quality of care, strengthen their capacity to manage SCD complications, and provide more comprehensive services closer to the communities that need them most. By investing in these facilities, we can help build stronger healthcare systems, expand access to essential sickle cell services, and give more people living with SCD the opportunity to receive timely, quality care regardless of where they live.

The estimated financial requirement for this vital five-year intervention is ₦1,000,000,000, with an estimated annual investment of ₦200,000,000 to rehabilitate and equip six facilities each year. You can help transform the quality of sickle cell care in Nigeria by adopting a facility and providing the resources it needs to serve its community. We suggest a donation of approximately ₦33,333,333 to fully sponsor the rehabilitation and equipping of one sickle cell clinic, helping to expand access to comprehensive care and directly improve the lives of people living with Sickle Cell Disorder.
