Socioeconomic hardship heavily compromises healthcare compliance, as more than 75% of Nigerians living with Sickle Cell Disorder currently live below the poverty line, making continuous treatment unaffordable. To break this cycle of financial vulnerability, the foundation is establishing a state-of-the-art Digital and Vocational Skills Empowerment Centre in 2026. This center will provide specialized training to patients and their primary caregivers, equipping them with sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The digital curriculum includes high-demand fields like web design, graphic design, UI/UX design, digital marketing, content creation, video editing, data entry, and virtual assistance. Simultaneously, the vocational track provides hands-on training in fashion design, catering, shoe making, hairdressing, makeup artistry, and cosmetics production. By fostering financial independence, this initiative significantly improves the psychosocial well-being and long-term healthcare access of patients.
