Distribution of rice packs to Sickle Cell Club members in Lagos during the September 2022 Sickle Cell Awareness Month.

As part of our effort to promote welfare, improve the lives of people living with SCD and raise more awareness, we organized a one-day welfare programme on the 30th of September 2022 with some members of the Lagos Sickle Cell Club.

The event kickstarted with health and welfare talks, alongside question and answer sessions and ended with the distribution of rice packs to the participants.
A total number of 100 members of the club benefitted from the programme.

This event was made possible by the donation of fifty packs of 5kg rice by Veepee Group of Industries. They recognized the impact and effort of the SCFN to cater for people living with sickle cell disorder and decided to extend their Corporate Social Responsibility to the Foundation.
