GANSID is an acronym for “Global Action Network for Sickle Cell & Other Inherited Blood Disorders”.
It is an organization aimed to support disease-specific and cross-disease initiatives within the space of inherited blood disorders.
The organisation is convening a stakeholders’ meeting in the Inherited Blood Disorder (IBD) space in Nigeria, and Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria will be hosting this event.
This meeting aims to gather Patient-Advocate organizations across the IBD spectrum and to seek their input on how GANSID could support and empower them.
Lanre Ajayi will be introducing GANSID at this meeting to the patient-advocate organisations and, as a major player in this space, you are hereby invited to this meeting, details of which appear below:

NB: Lanre Tunji-Ajayi is a respected leader and global patient advocate for the Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) community, with decades of experience in patient engagement, organizational governance, and programme development.
As the Founder of the Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario (SCAGO) and Co-Founder/Founding President & CEO of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Canada (SCDAC), Lanre’s leadership and advocacy are instrumental to the greater visibility and recognition of Sickle Cell Disorder in Canada today.
